At Gene's Fitness Center safety is always our number one priority. We are committed to protecting our students and staff by adhering to all Covid-19 CDC guidelines. This includes wearing masks/face coverings inside the gym at all times, taking temperature checks upon entry, proper sanitation of all equipment after each use, providing hand sanitizer, and limiting gym occupancy for purposes of social distancing.
Gene and I really connected the first time we met. We discussed our goals and Gene made sure to tailor my workout program in order to make strides in the distance aspect of my golf game. Gene's expertise and knowledge of the body is incredibly broad and my success in golf can truly be attributed to the kind of work Gene and I have done together at his gym.
I was fortunate to discover Gene about 10 years ago when I was looking for a personal trainer to help me improve my bone density, build strength and become more flexible. I’m 77 years old with arthritis in my shoulders and hips. Gene’s workouts utilizing kettle bell swings, squats, dead lifts, core, and joint integrity work have gotten me remarkable results and have kept me pain free. Gene has excellent coaching skills and relates to me as a client in a way that keeps me motivated to continue living a healthy lifestyle.
I began working out with Gene after years of back, hip, and leg pain. In physical therapy I was told to strengthen my body in order to alleviate the pain. I'm a runner and all I really want to do for exercise is run. No strength training I tried held my interest and because I didn't stick to it, it didn't work. I started going to Gene at the referral of a friend who'd had similar issues. Gene keeps workouts interesting, fun, and really intense. He keeps a very watchful eye over me when I workout, correcting my form when necessary to ensure I maximize my efforts and don't hurt myself. My back, hip, and leg have gotten increasingly better with each workout as I get noticeably stronger. Additionally, Gene has given me great advice with regard to nutrition and injury prevention. He is knowledgeable and a very nice guy. I workout with my teenage son as well and Gene has been able to push and challenge him far more than I can do. My running has gotten better and virtually pain-free. In short, Gene is THE BEST!
